YouTube has a Teachers' Channel Now!

This was all over education blogs this past week! Finally, YouTube has a teachers' and education channel that we can use in the classroom. I think the main page of the teachers' channel is a great introduction!

I found this resource from @engaginged's blog Engaging Educators. I had no idea that Google Earth had a YouTube channel! This is definitely a powerful tool to use in Social Studies and Geography lessons.

Videos for 21st Century Inspiration!

I am starting to prepare a presentation about using class blogs with elementary students and wanted to open with a video. I came across three videos I really enjoyed that hit home with the point of 21st Century Teaching and Learning. I can really only use two in my presentation, but I thought I'd share all three with you!

Even educational videos on YouTube have inappropriate comments and advertisements which make it frustrating when you are trying to show a video to enrich your students' learning.  

I have seen ViewPure mentioned in several blogs and even on Twitter. ViewPure eliminates all comments, suggestions, advertisements, and other distractions and only shows the video.
