The Story Museum

The Story Museum has a collection of 1001 Stories which include folk tales from around the world. Check it out!

1001 Stories from The Story Museum features a great collection of inspirational/folk tales from around the world.

The stories include audio and text that could be printed out for each student as they listen. Many of the stories also include printable story maps. You can search by theme, age of listener, or country of origin. Great for  listening center or a quiet time in the classroom.
Not that I’m counting but there are only 100+ stories available that I could see. Not 1001…nonetheless great site. Hopefully more are coming because students will really enjoy these stories.

Check out the rest of the The Story Museum too.

AutoMotivator

AutoMotivator is a student-friendly (and teacher-friendly) poster creator.

another great find from @kbkonnected http://tumblr.com/xtl2wbq8bn

AutoMotivator is another great “poster maker”. Students can create motivational posters just like the ones they’ve seen in the stores. They can upload a picture or use one from the site. Next they add their own text. Very student friendly.
Check out these other online poster makers.
